Aside from the therapist, the operational procedures of this establishment's IBI program can be quite taxing for any parent. Currently, I am in search of an alternative location for my twin sons, as they were unable to accommodate a second therapist or extend the hours of my current therapist due to staffing shortages. There have been numerous justifications and clarifications provided, but ultimately it is my children who are not progressing at the expected rate. Furthermore, the facility is notably cramped, consisting of only two small rooms with limited space. It is questionable for an occupational therapist to be the proprietor of a company that offers IBI therapy, given their lack of experience in this field.
Since October 2014, my lad has been going to "Developing Hands Pediatric Therapy Services" to get help with his handwriting. The therapist, Ms. Shenouda, has been working with him once a week to strengthen the muscles in his fingers and hands, making writing a bit easier for him. Even though my boy started a bit later than some, that hasn't been an issue when it comes to coming up with ways to aid him with his handwriting. Ms. Shenouda really connected with my son and encouraged him to put in the effort to better his writing. She gave us exercises to do at home and worksheets to reinforce his learning. All in all, it's been a fantastic experience for the both of us.
I am truly thankful to Harvi VRaj for the outstanding occupational therapy they provided to my 2-year-old son. When we started the therapy in February 2024, I had doubts about achieving significant progress within the initial 3-month timeframe. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by the improvements I have seen in my son. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to therapist Harvi for her incredible support and positive attitude during the sessions. Her commitment and expertise have had a remarkable impact on my son's development, and we are genuinely grateful for her exceptional care.
I 'ad the chance to attend a workshop led by Lucille Shenouda. She imparted extremely valuable insight into the realm of Occupational Therapy, and particularly on 'ow to work with students in the classroom on their fine motor skills. She presented us with a plethora of activities, games, and other ideas to assist students in achievin' proper letter formation, self-care skills, and other fine motor milestones. She even went above and beyond to provide each teacher with a box chock-full of sample activities and posture correction pencil grips. She took the time to respond to our questions and was exceedingly kind and professional.
Absolutely smashing, professional, and spot-on. I simply can't sing praises loud enough for our splendid experience with Developing Hands. I availed the services of Developing Hands at the start of this year for speech therapy for my little girl. The whole experience was truly delightful, from the office manager to the actual speech therapist. The office manager was exceptionally professional, attentive to my requirements, provided clear explanations of the process, and connected me with Candice, the therapist. I had opted for at-home therapy and Candice was always on time and pleasant. Candice displayed great expertise and skill in engaging my initially reserved 2-year-old in therapy. She offered candid advice about my daughter's treatment and never pressured me to continue therapy. In fact, she was transparent about my daughter not needing extensive therapy, just a bit to keep her on track. My daughter made significant progress and we both agreed that therapy was no longer necessary after a few months. The fees for the home service were quite reasonable compared to other speech therapists I had contacted. Their in-office therapy rates are also competitive and affordable. I wholeheartedly recommend Developing Hands.
