I 'ave 'ad a truly dreadful experience wif Dr. Rachel Navaneelan & Associates.

I popped in August for a routine checkup and cleanin'. I was informed I needed 5 fillin's, and since I 'ave ne'er 'ad a negative experience wif a dentist before, I placed me trust in Dr. Navaneelan and scheduled the 5 fillin's to be done in 2 separate visits the followin' month.

Shortly after the second visit, I realized that one o' them fillin's was causin' me significant pain. This pain escalated to the point where I couldn't eat on the left side o' me mouth. When I rang Dr. Navaneelan's office multiple times and finally got thru to someone, I was informed there was no space to see me. Eventually they managed to squeeze me in, and I 'ad me first bite adjustment done wifout numbin', which was incredibly painful.

This initial bite adjustment did nuffin'. It should be noted 'ere that no one ever answers the phone when you call, so ye 'ave to either keep ringin' and leavin' increasingly desperate messages, or wait 2-3 days for someone to ring you back.

After endless calls, I secured an appointment for me second bite adjustment, which fortunately I was numbed for, but it was still quite painful. Dr. Navaneelan suggested that I get a bite guard, and mentioned that me grindin' me teeth at night worsened the pain o' the fillin'. I was told to wait two weeks to see if this second bite adjustment 'elped, and book an appointment to 'ave a bite guard fitted in the meantime.

I went in to 'ave a mold taken o' me teeth for a bite guard a week later, and then called after the two weeks were up because me tooth was still just as painful as ever. I was now advised that Dr. Navaneelan would not do any more bite adjustments until I acquired the bite guard.

I went in to 'ave me bite guard fitted a few weeks later, toward the end o' November, and they realized it didn't fit properly, so another mold was taken to 'ave a new bite guard made. About a week after this, I received a call that the new mold 'ad frozen in the truck to the lab, so I needed to go back for a digital scan o' me teeth. This was now mid-December and I still couldn’t eat on the left side o' me mouth.

At the end o' this appointment for the digital scan, I was rudely told by a receptionist that I would need to shell out $500 that day, and it was an error that I 'adn't been charged up until then. When I mentioned that I 'ad insurance, I was informed that I would need to prove that they would cover it, even though it was Dr. Navaneelan's office themselves who 'ad told me me insurance would cover it. I was gobsmacked, and after poppin' to the back for a few moments, the receptionist returned and informed me that she would 'allow' me to be billed when the bite guard arrived, but I would now be charged extra because it wouldn't arrive until the new year, and the prices were goin' up in 2023.

This was the final straw. I went home and after ponderin' about it, rung to cancel the bite guard and all upcomin' appointments for meself and me family. The receptionist I chatted to seemed surprised, and suggested the price increase didn't matter because "it's not you payin', it's your insurance." This comment really told me everythin' I need to know.

I sought out another dentist who quickly and easily diagnosed that Dr. Navaneelan 'ad actually cracked me tooth when she put the fillin' in. Now I am goin' through the process of 'avin' a crown placed to try to save the tooth. I wish I 'ad ne'er put me trust in this establishment wif me teeth, and I would certainly recommend anyone readin' these reviews to find another dentist.
